1. Dual-Media Sand Pre-Filtration
Multi-grade quartz sand, pebbles, and anthracite media trap suspended solids, silt, mud, and particulate matter down to 20 microns, preventing turbidity fouling in booster pumps and downline valves.
2. Activated Carbon Adsorption
High-iodine bituminous coal activated carbon strips free chlorine, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), organic odors, and pesticides. Protecting polyamide thin-film composite membranes from oxidative chemical degradation.
3. Anti-Scalant Metering & Micron Guards
Electronic chemical dosing pumps meter precise PPM dosages of food-grade antiscalant compound, followed by 5-micron spun polypropylene cartridge filters to arrest fine fines and protect membrane feed channels.

How much wastewater is produced during purification?
Industrial RO plants generally yield a recovery rate of 40% to 50% pure water, with the remaining water discharged as reject. This reject water can be reused for gardening, flushing, or floor washing.
How often should filters be replaced?
Pre-filters should be backwashed daily. Micron cartridges need replacement every 2-3 months. Sand and Carbon media are replaced every 1 to 2 years, while the RO membrane lasts 1.5 to 3 years.
Why is automated chemical antiscalant dosing critical in commercial RO plants?
Antiscalant chemical dosing delays the precipitation of calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, and silica scaling on thin-film composite membrane surfaces.
